The Beneficiary

Cathedral Giving By Design is an annual philanthropic community outreach project sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women of the Cathedral of St. Philip.  Each year, a different non-profit in the Atlanta community is selected as the beneficiary.  Cathedral Giving By Design (formerly the Cathedral Antiques Show) is produced through close working partnership with the designated beneficiary.

All net proceeds from Cathedral Giving By Design go directly to the beneficiary.  More than just fundraising, the event increases community awareness about the beneficiary and expands their base of supporters and advocates.

Our 2024 Beneficiary

Cathedral Giving By Design is thrilled to announce our 2024 beneficiary: The Boyce L. Ansley School.

The Boyce L. Ansley School
educates children experiencing homelessness in Atlanta, GA, and provides vital support services for families to break generational cycles of poverty and housing insecurity. The School’s mission is to provide rigorous, high-quality education and collaborative family support, while taking into consideration the unique traumas associated with experiencing homelessness, in order to empower children and families to thrive beyond their circumstance.

There are almost 2,000 children experiencing homelessness in Atlanta schools, and countless more who are not even enrolled. Trauma, disrupted education, and challenging circumstances leave them struggling academically. The scholars, and their family unit, thrive within the school's framework of structure and support, all of which is provided tuition-free.

For the 2023-2024 school year, the Ansley School will serve over 60 students and 40 families, in Kindergarten through the 4th grade.  Members of our community, all of these families fall below the poverty line in Atlanta.

Beneficiary selection is a competitive process. Applications for 2025 will open in the spring of 2024. Check back for updates and submission instructions!
